OK, I’ve been asked a lot of times when do I have to wear a mask on the island of Tenerife. The answer is simple if you are passing anybody that you do not know and they are going to be less than 5 feet away or 1 1/2 m then you have to put your mask on.

You may remove your mask when you are sat at a Table and you are going to eat and drink as the tables are far enough away from each other so you do not have to wear your mask.

When you get up from your table and have to move in between the tables then you are going to be too close, so put your mask on before you get up, simple.

I can’t help it but some of my Facebook friends tend to share crap that they’ve not researched especially tropes like benefit fraud being the biggest problem the UK has. Illegal immigrants do not get £6000 a month… illegal immigrants are not even registered so they can’t claim anything!

The real reason that your British pension is shit is because you don’t pay into it as a pension you pay into some slush fund your government has that it can dip its hands into at any time.

The real benefits are ones given to corporations now that is something you should be angry about.

I often see the British Pension being compared to the German Pension. In Germany when you get your wages they take nearly 50% awaybecause you are paying different types of insurances one of which is an old age pension.

You pay an income tax, pension insurance, health insurance, long-term care insurance, church tax, solidarity charge, unemployment insurance, and a few other items…

So you know exactly what you’re paying for and it is usually a percentage of what you earn up to a maximum. So that means the higher you were earning in your working life the higher your pension is… it is not like in the UK where everybody gets the same pension. So when you compare UK pensions to German pensions then typically you’re comparing a standard payout from the government to a high earning German retiree who may receive a €3000 Pension. Some German pensions are as low as €260 a month not enough to live on so they get extra help like Social Security.

When I see posts on social media talking about conspiracy theories and how technology is tracking us and how people are just making money I think that maybe we are in the technological dark ages.

The future humans, assuming they’re going to be some, when they look back at us will wonder, they had the answers they had the technology why didn’t they do something?

Men Singing Love Songs – Pathetic

Have you ever noticed that all the old love songs sung by men are pathetic apologies for being dicks?
I started noticing this when I was listening to “take good care of my baby”, a particular favourite of mine because my best man sang it at my wedding, what?

Whose baby?

Let’s take a look at some of the lyrics. The protagonist starts lamenting about tears that are falling because a rival has taken his girlfriend away. He then proceeds to assume that it was the rivals fault and starts giving him advice on how to treat her. He still has not come to terms with the fact that she is no longer his baby. I do understand it was written in a time when women were seen as property but also a time when men were men.

He reminisces about the time the little girl was his and then confesses that if he hadn’t cheated on her she would still be with him, Duh…!

The final insult is to say that if his rival ends up changing his mind and doesn’t really love her, which I doubt, then send her back, damaged goods, as if she has no say in how she will move on.

This has now ruined most love songs sung by males from the 50s to the naughties.
